Advisor Responsibilities
- Accompany and supervise student delegates at all Program activities;
- Explain and enforce the Code of Conduct and YMCA Ground Rules. This includes making certain that each delegate is prepared, dressed properly, and behaves appropriately;
- Attend all meetings on time with the necessary paperwork, fees, etc.;
- Assume a leadership role at the Program as assigned;
- Assume responsibility for the conduct, whereabouts, and actions of his/her delegates at all times during the Program;
- Be available to provide delegates with support and guidance;
- Assume a leadership role to assure that delegates are where they should be at all times;
- Assume responsibility to assure that all facilities at the hotel and government buildings are treated with the utmost respect and care;
- Assure that delegates represent the delegation, school/YMCA, and Program in a positive manner at all times;
- Assist youth leadership, without taking over, in meeting their obligations and fulfilling their duties; and
- Review and enforce all Program rules and regulations.
